Excellent food and impeccable service! The restaurant was very full, but we felt like the only ones there. The owner welcomed us personally and made us feel at home. The house tea was delightful, with subtle hints of fresh cardamon. The samosas were to die for. So happy Sage reopened, we will definitely be back!

I’m staying at a nearby hotel and have had the vegetable lasagna two days in a row — it’s that good. Perfectly balanced flavors, beautifully fresh ingredients, and absolutely comforting without being heavy. I could eat this several times a week, gladly. The service is warm, friendly, and spot on every time. Sage is a gem — definitely worth the visit!

Delicious food, best samosas I've ever had! I also had the hot Persian tea, beautiful and floral, and the bruchi, which is an amazingly fantastic vegan stew. The people were so friendly and the restaurant is clean and very relaxing. An absolute gem in Durham that I'm so happy to have stumbled on!

I have spent the better part of three years missing Sage’s delicious food, so I was ecstatic when I heard they were reopening in Durham.
When my group arrived at Sage during their second week open, we found that we had outdated information and they were open for dinner and not lunch … which was inconvenient for us since it was noon. No sooner than we had decided to come back for dinner did Lakshmi open the door and invite us in to order.
She was kind enough to offer us anything from the menu, but we all went with the sprout salad and osh, probably because two of us have spent years talking about how much we missed those items from Sage. 🤣
The food was incredible, the space is beautiful, and the owners could not be more kind. We ate inside, but the outdoor patio was adorable and I’m sure we’ll have many fall dinners there. I am so grateful that Sage Vegetarian is now in Durham, and hope they’ll have be here forever!

This new location for Sage has such potential. It’s beautiful and welcoming, but still feels like the wonderful restaurant it was before. It was only the soft open, but the meals were refined and delicious. Thanks to Lakshmi for attentive service and a lovely experience!

This was a cute place an acquaintance suggested. I went with my non-vegan parents-in-law. They don't even usually eat or enjoy indian food, but they had a great experience! Apparently the lasagna is out of this world. And I can attest that the vegan items are plentiful and flavorful. Also the owner was teaching her son how to be a good server. It was so cute and he did a great job!

The service is good, the ambience decent. We tried a variety of dishes, and maybe this is just because I’m Persian, but I think that a home cook could make meals as delicious for a lower price. It was fine food, but it wasn’t anything unique.
